With COVID-19 now and beyond, many people may feel uneasy about viewing properties with other people, especially strangers.
If you have vacant rental property you may wonder how you’re going to get showings so it can get rented. Rental Guys Property Management and Legacy Realty Group had this problem solved before it even existed!
Rental Guys Property Management and Legacy Realty Group has been utilizing self-showing technology for years. This allows vacant properties to be shown at the prospective tenants convenience AND now doubles as a COVID-19 safety measure since they can also view the property by themselves, without meeting a stranger or someone outside their family providing an extra layer of comfort and practicing social distancing, as well as, convenience.
When scheduling a showing the prospective tenant will be asked some preliminary questions to be sure they even qualify on the most basic terms for that property. If they pass that, they’ll upload a photo ID and schedule a time to view based on their schedule and available hours we’ve set. On the date they’ve chosen they’ll get a one-time access code that is only good for that day. After the viewing they’ll be prompted for feedback and an application.
Additionally, with our application being online and our tenant portal, we’re able to show properties, take applications, collect security deposits and rents, facilitate move ins, and handle requests… all without having to meet the tenant in person. If you were the tenant and had concerns over COVID-19 or safety in general, how would this type of process make you feel?
This process has made it very easy for both Rental Guys and the prospective tenants to rent properties during this COVID-19 time and long before and long after. We’ve yet to skip a beat during this time and have been showing and renting properties all along. More than just the virus and health risks, there’s a safety factor involved when you meet a stranger. We believe if you make it easy on people, they’re more likely to try your product (or in this case view your house). So next time you have a vacant property, how convenient are you making it for prospective tenants to view and rent your house?
